Many of us are trying to avoid going to the emergency room right now. You may have not realized there’s an alternative for some accidents, injuries and broken bones.
The team at OrthoCincy has urgent care centers that are open most days of the week.
“We see sprains and strains, chronic arthritis, backaches, spontaneous infections, certain significant fractures. Those are generally what people are bringing to the urgent care center,” said Dr. Bruce Holladay, an orthopedic surgeon at OrthoCincy. “We feel that certain things are very admittable to an orthopedic urgent care, staying away from the hospital emergency room where there could be more serious diseases. COVID-19 may be present. Let's stay away from the hospital as much as we can. Also, we want to keep resources at the hospital that are needed."
