Dr. Angel Velazquez is a highly regarded sports medicine specialist at OrthoCincy. He served as the assistant medical director for the Cincinnati Reds and their minor league affiliates from 2015-2018. In addition to his affiliation with the Cincinnati Reds, Dr. Velazquez has worked as team physician and assisted with the care of many area high school and college athletes.
Because of his experience with elite level athletes, Dr. Velazquez recently spoke to local media about Joe Burrow's appendectomy. He discussed recovery expectations, returning to training camp and any lingering effects.
